Falcata, more commonly known as fishtail swordfern are extremely unique. They are uncommon in other parts of the world, but Biscayne are lucky enough to have them. Most swordferns have an underground stem and produce spores on the underside of their leaves.

GymnospermsCoonties are one of the few trees that are cone-bearing in Biscayne. It is also known as Zamia Pumila. They're seeds are not enclosed and are protected in fruits. Plus, most of them are evergreen and bear their seeds in cones.
